IoT Applications for Agriculture and Forests

Abstract and Scope:

The objective of this special session is to open a discussion forum that allows experts and potential end-users of the IoT technology to share recent developments, challenges, and current and new research trends. The special session will provide the common ground in terms of what was brought by research in the last years and what are the IoT applications and technology to be used especially in the agriculture, forests, and weather. This special session will have end-users involved in IoT applications and, on the other hand, the workshop will bring researchers together to contribute to disseminating new approaches to this technology. It is expected that the special session will contribute to pointing on research challenges and high impact application scenarios.

Topics for the special session:

  • Intelligent sensors based on IoT;
  • IoT on agriculture and forests;
  • IoT for smart home automation;
  • IoT based monitoring systems;

Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (See more about format here.)

Workshop Papers will be published in a dedicated section of the SGIoT Conference Proceedings. The materials presented in the position papers should not be published or under submission elsewhere. All submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee and external experts to reach a decision on acceptance.
